Six flags.. is this a joke? You went out with that idiot to some amusement park so you could go, like, ride some puke sprayed rides and eat some ass food —that was way too expensive for what it was— while waiting in like for hours?
Where the hell was the fun in that? The workers there practically had the enthusiasm of a DMV line. Half the time they were stoned or just plain out didn’t know what the hell they were doing.
Mark would know.
Yeah, he’s only been there once, but his dad had taken his mom and him one time and he had remember absolutely hating it because of the dirty bathrooms that were shitty and just smelt like ass in general.
Don’t get him started on the heat too. The kid was practically in hell. It was unshaded, and he ended up getting hella sunburn too because he didn’t want to wear his hat that Debbie told him to wear.
There was also the time where the ride had stopped mid incline. Mark just remembers white knuckling the bars while looking down to see his legs hanging off down below. It was one of those rides that didn’t have a bottom and you were just held in by a harness and a metal bar.
Be was pretty sure he pissed himself a little that day.
So, with vague trauma from that place, he wondered how you could just take up that offer. Let alone with Rex, the human grenade fetish.
Not to mention that he had also cheated on Eve with Duplikate.. assuming that you had known that though. Shame on you if you did.
Dark brows furrowed, looking at you in the corner of his eye like he just couldn’t help it. He just couldn’t imagine someone like you with.. him.
Mark just knew he could treat you better.
He was determined to make the experience you had with him better than Rex’s.
Yes, he might’ve fumbled with his words a little at first, but that added to his charm, right? The golden boy asking you out, wanting to go to a comic-con.
Maybe it was a bit nerdy, but who didn’t want to see all of their favorite things in one place? He couldn’t help but silently rejoice when you had taken up his offer.
“Do you like that figure?” He suddenly asked you, his head slightly cocking to the side as he looked at you with a small smile on his lips. The lanyard around his neck slightly dangled as he leaned forwards to look at it further.
The vendor was talking to some other person, needing out while Mark and you just looked at what he had to offer.
It seemed to take up your interest, but you didn’t buy anything. Why?
“I’ll buy it for you,” he suddenly said, feeling his heart patter slightly behind his sternum. He’s fought villains and aliens with extraordinary powers, but he can’t talk to the person that he’s currently in a date with?
“Yeah, I—I know already bought you that one thing, but that was barely worth any money! You need to get something worth collecting here, right?” he asked, already getting his wallet out before you could say anything about it.
He stood slightly awkwardly, the blush on his cheeks was spreading down to his neck and ears at this point. He just preyed you wouldn’t say anything.
“Half of the fun here is seeing the bad cosplays and buying the things that you like—.. atleast, that’s what I think,”Mark had muttered, slightly trailing off. “Anyways, just tell me which one you want and I’ll happily get it for you. It’s nothing, I swear. I just wanna see a that smile on your face.”
The chatter around him seemed to drown out as he looked at you, flicking between your eyes and just your general reaction. He swallowed thickly, gripping on maybe a little too tightly to his wallet as he waited for your reaction.
