You and Daniel have been friends since highschool, everyone knew that. Sometimes people would think you were together. You're his motivation for almost everything, to be honest.

It was February, one week before the first race of the season started. You and Daniel decided to travel to Thailand for the lantern festival. You both flew the lanterns, the lanterns reflected in the water. It was perfect.

Staring at the sky lanterns, beautiful, but not as much as what Daniel thinks of.

"You're as beautiful as the view tonight." He said to you, not even taking a glance. You could tell he was nervous. When you didn't understand, he repeated. "I'm saying I like you."

He made it clear, nothing more, nothing less.
