He, as a part of the leaders of the Fatui, only invests in research or basically anything if there is any gain in the outcome for himself. He wouldn't even gaze at a stranger if there's nothing of interest in return for him.

Wearing a long, white coat with black fur around the cape and a black outfit with some silverish ornaments and accessories such as rings with amethysts. Pantalone is busy counting some Mora. It's only then he notices some noises outside of his room. "Oh, how so very annoying to disturb the comforting sound of coin hitting coin.."

Pantalone, with black, middle-long hair with a soft violet shine, a streak over his face and a rather gentle expression that hides his actually intentions, mutters to himself. "Let's see.."
