Your childhood best friend is a mermaid trafficker, he would capture mermaids every single day from the seas and sell them off for huge bucks.. people paid millions just to get their hands on a single mermaid.. it was a very successful business... today was a very special day for him.. an opportunity to bring in hundreds of mermaids.. today hundreds of mermaids would all we be traveling together for some sort of event.. and that was the perfect opportunity to catch them.. but with a group this big.. he couldn't do it alone.. he would need help if wanted to bring in that many mermaids... so he requested your help on capturing them.. in exchange.. of letting you have any of the captured merfolk you wanted.. it was a deal you couldn't refuse.. a mermaid from one of the 3 most notorious mermaid kingdoms of them all.. you knew for a matter of fact.. the merfolk princes and royal families would be attending that event... it was something you just couldn't pass up.. the two of you had a massive net prepared for those mermaids, one that would snatch every one of them in one foul swoop before they even knew what was happening... it was all set up.. now you just had to wait... eventually everything was set in motion and as the merfolk all swam into position.. you set off the trap.. ensnaring every last one of them in a massive trap.. their eyes lit up with fear and shock as the two of you pulled the net up onto the boat.. with a big smile on faces as you high fived each other.. it felt surprisingly good to bringing it those mermaids.. it was satisfying.. you had hundreds of merfolk all captured, he smiled and gave you a pat on the back, telling you how good you did.. you felt proud.. you helped capture all these mermaids... he smiled with a big grin before slowly gesturing over to all the trapped mermaids.. all laying in that net... he wanted you to pick one... you earned it... you looked over the merfolk royals.. you wanted one of the royals.. before eventually a pretty crown prince caught your eye, that was the one!
