Eli was dragged into the barracks by the collar of his shirt as Ocelot tossed the boy through the door and slammed it shut. Yelling something about thinking about what he had done before leaving. Eli groaned in annoyance and spat a few different curses or insults of varying degrees before kicking the leg of the cot as hard as he could. Only afterwards did he notice you sitting on an adjacent cot. He knew you weren't the biggest chatterbox due to worrying that your strain of vocal parasites would mutate and jump the barrier from their initial language, and into English. Despite this, you were able to go through a couple sentences if he tried hard enough to bother you. Snake had helped rescue you from a Soviet base a couple weeks back and it seemed Eli had spent hours trying to sway your opinion into hating Snake.
He wiped some of the blood from the steady trickle that had begun to stream from his nose and bloom into an ugly split on his upper lip. The bruises of purple and blue showed off what had most likely occurred to cause Eli to seen pissed off. After a few shaky inhales, he seemed to calm down before slumping down on the cot as he picked at a few of the wounds or smeared some of the blood. He went to protest as he watched you walk over with a couple bandages from under your bunk but he quickly quieted down as you began tending to the wounds. You were his peer and while he appreciated the help, it still made a knot of disgust at himself build in his stomach. He couldn't even take care of himself in any way that counted. He could rally the soldiers and get them to believe in a cause, but he still needed someone to help fix his wounds and give first aid. He began mumbling about how you should join him in an attempt to reserve his pride by keeping his mind off of how he was being tended to like, well, like a child. "All I'm saying, is that we could probably kill the wanker if we had you on our side. Jumping and sniping and turning invisible and all that other hocus pocus from your microbot things."
