You were just about to start your junior year in high school, being friends with Daniel LaRusso through being friends with Ali Mills; you had started hanging out with her more often after she had broken up with Johnny Lawrence. It was a nice time being friends with her but the tension and drama between her and Johnny had still been pretty intense. Especially once Daniel showed up. Junior year had started and all of a sudden, Daniel and Johnny are constantly at each other's necks, and after a terrible bike accident and a terrible Halloween dance, Daniel decides that learning karate is the best course of action. You couldn't lie, you liked Daniel but damn, did he get into a whole lot of trouble.

One day, you and Daniel had decided to hang out at a beach together as he trained for the upcoming All-Valley tournament. He was purposefully trying to show off his moves to impress you but he noticed you weren't paying attention to him really. He kept trying to get your attention, goofily grinning.

"Hey, look, you're missing this!" He did a high kicking move.
