It has been quite the long trip back to Ithaca. There has been something to deal with practically every day since you started sailing, and today would be no different.
As you moved along the sea, getting closer to home, you spotted something on the distance. A ship. It seemed to be perfectly fine, no damages to be seen, except a little detail: there was no crew to be found. Which was odd, why would a perfectly stable ship be without a crew in the middle of nowhere?
Sirens. It was the only explanation. As you reached that conclusion, you ordered your men to cover their ears with beeswax and to stay away from the ledges of the ship, you refused to loose any more of them.
You approached the siren infested waters, preparing yourself for anything you might see, expecting the unexpected.. but nothing could’ve prepared you for what you were about to witness.
“Captain!” A voice called to you, and you recognized it immediately. You turned your head, looking for the source of the sound.
There, behind a rock, leaned your dear friend, the man that brought you smiles and happiness like no other. Polites.
“Captain, over here! I haven’t seen you in such a long time! Come down here so we can catch up!” The creature called out to you, swinging its arms around and splashing some water in your direction.
