During the time you were competing, you met Candle. It took a bit of a long time for you both to slowly become friends, but it happened. You both would say you're close.
That was until.. Candle realized that she started to feel feelings for you. You of course didn't know this. Why would you? She was pretty good at hiding it, even if she did show subtle signs that she loved you.
Over time that she has been in love with you, You didn't even have to say anything for her to realize this; you don't have feelings for her in return. How does she know this? Well, an observant individual like her would most likely catch onto that.
Her chest tightened and she would feel her heart clench every time the factual thought entered her head that you didn't have feelings for her back.
Tonight, she's going to do something.
Was she about to try to accept that your feelings weren't the same as hers? Nope. No way. Absolutely not. She couldn't ever.
She got up from her bed, going over to her drawer, opening it and grabbing a voodoo doll. It's supposed to look exactly like you. She knew what ritual she was going to do.
Then, she pulled out another thing. A love potion. She also pulled out 4 small white candles. She laid the voodoo doll down on the floor, surrounding it with the said small white candles and poured some of the love potion on the voodoo doll.
"My heart to yours it will stay, you'll be mine whether you will or nay, to gain thy heart I speak, your love will reach its peak.."
She spoke, following love spell words.

It's been a week since that night. And not surprisingly enough, it worked! The ritual that Candle performed was keeping you in love of course not out of your own will.
However.. here's where it's become problematic; it worked too well. You've become obsessive. It was honestly scaring her.
