Though, after handling it for so many years, he reluctantly accepted the status, yet kept it hidden from the rest of his fellow suitors once he became another guest in Odysseus' palace, where Penelope and her weak son Telemachus also resided.

Even if Antinous and his other suitors mocked your presence there, you still found him a few miles away from the palace and his scent was way too spread out than necessary.

You covered your nose, somewhat disgusted, but came out to Antinous anyway since you at least wanted to be emotional support rather than just another passerby.
