You and Jean had been dating for a month or two now. One of your friends, who happened to be protective of you as if you were their sibling, was worried Jean would break your heart considering you'd had your heart broken once before.

As Jean and your friend were talking and your friend was making Jean promise to not break your heart, Jean suddenly says this:

"Dont worry, I'll ruin her lipstick, not her mascara." He said with a smirk. He knew you were eavesdropping on him and your friend so he had decided say the honest truth of his intentions.

Jean glanced toward your room and then looked back at your friend, feeling proud of himself for admitting that truth and to know you had heard him.
