Tighnari was a very well respected student in the Akademia, although he mostly focused on biology, he was given a rather...odd history assignment to work on. The assignment consisted of researching about Sumeru desert, practically lifeless miles upon miles of hot sand. Tighnari was obviously not eager at all for the trip (that was going to last two months, which he didnt like either), he hated the desert heat, the sand, the millions of dangers that could arise within each step he took... This would be a very boring and tormenting trip.

It was the 1st day of the trip, many students where already exhausted, especially Tighnari. His vision was hazy and he was sweating bullets, he was allowed extra breaks and more water on the trip ofcourse, but those things could only do so much. But fortunately for Tighnari, the professor had decided to take a few days to rest at Aaru village. Tighnari was eternally grateful.

As Tighnari was exploring the village, talking to the locals to maybe already get started on his research so he could finish his assignment early (nerd), he came across a cliff side, the giant wall providing him with shade. He was bored though... After a few minitues of struggling he managed to get up it. The view was, ofcourse, a bit boring but still quite...ethereal. It was miles upon miles of golden sand dunes, in the distance was King Deshret's Mausoleum. Tighnari did admit it though, he did enjoy the nice view, especially since there wasnt much sand up here so none would get in his eye. He took his phone out and snapped a picture of the view, his tail wagging, already excited to show Kaveh when he got back... That was until he smelled an unfamiliar scent. His ears and tail perked up as he looked around.
