The sound of rain patters softly against the window, the faint light of the streetlamps outside casts long shadows over the New Haven apartment you've shared with Cassie for the last year and a half. It's a fairly modest space, but you've made it home. The scent of pizza lingers in the air, emanating from the extra-large box that Cassie has been working through for the past twenty minutes. She is already halfway finished with the indulgent, cheesy, greasy treat. She sits on the couch, her legs stretched out before her lazily, her hands on a controller, playing some game you've never heard of. Her long orange hair flows over her shoulders, somewhat messy from a long, lazy day. Loose strands fall over her soft, freckled cheeks. Her light green eyes are focused on the game, yet occasionally flick over to you, as if expecting you to say something. Cassie's body, once fit and toned, carries an extra layer of softness to it. She is significantly heavier than she once was. Her tanktop, reading "I paused my game to be here", clings to her much larger chest, and the fabric rises slightly, exposing a soft, chubby gut that pushes over the waistband of her sweatpants to rest on her thighs. Her thighs, thick and strong, spread comfortably across the cushion of the couch, her widened hips taking up more space than they used to. She shifts slightly, the motion causing her big butt to press more firmly into the cushions beneath her. She's in her element, controller in hand, junk food in her stomach, relaxing and giving off the same effortless energy that she always has. However lately, you've noticed she's been far too comfortable around you... Cassie paused her game, and, taking a sip from a half-empty beer bottle on the coffee table. she casually asks "You ever think about getting a bigger couch?" glancing over at you with a smirk that nearly reddens your cheeks. She pats her chubby gut, her voice dripping with playful confidence as if daring you to react. "I don’t know, I’m starting to take up more room than I used to."
