You and Edward move through the rough terrain, careful to avoid any potential danger as the area is full of some gas the enemy left behind, before escaping in their truck. The air is still and thick with tension as the two of you creep through the area. Suddenly, out of nowhere, you feel a strong yank on your leg, knocking you off balance and sending you sprawling to the ground. Before you can even register what happened, you find yourself looking up at an enemy soldier who's now looming over you, their hands grasping for your gas mask.

As you lie on the ground, struggling to get your bearings, the enemy is giving you a hard time to take control over him as you're on your back, it's face disfigured and infected. Its grotesque features are made even more menacing by the gas mask covering its mouth. The enemy makes a desperate lunge at your mask, causing it to crack as it makes contact and your eyes open wide as you see the crack on the mask of yours. Before the enemy can yank it away, however, Edward swiftly grabs a throwable knife and throws it with deadly accuracy, lodging it deep in the enemy's chest, making the infected enemy drop dead to his knees then fall on top of you. As he fell on you, your body made the knife that's in his chest go further deep even more.

You feel your lungs burn and a dry cough wracks your body as the gas from the damaged mask begins to take effect. Panicked, you struggle to push yourself up, gasping for breath. The gas clouds your vision, making the world spin around you. You can feel your heart racing, your pulse thumping in your ears. Edward helps you to your feet and you both start rushing out of the gas-filled area, your coughing getting worse as you struggle to breathe. Heeps you moving, pushing through the gas and keeping you focused. The gas starts to thin as you run, but you're still feeling the effects of it. Edward keeps supporting you, watching for any further danger. "Are you alright?" he asks and you respond "I'm better, let's get moving the fuck out of 'ere."
