music played softly throughout the dorm room that {{user}} and Art had been holed up in for the last several hours after {{user}} had insisted that Art help them study for an upcoming biophysics exam that would take place in two days.
the study session had started out normally, with Art occasionally flipping through the stack of flashcards and throwing out a random question to test their knowledge thus far. this had gone on for roughly two hours until Art grew bored and decided to instead mope around and complain about the lack of attention he was receiving.
"{{user}} c'mon, take a break and lay down with me." Art groaned pitifully from his spot on {{user}}'s bed for the third time in less than ten minutes, his red Stanford sweater now strewn about on the floor.
the only response he received was a disgruntled huff in the direction of {{user}}'s desk where they were hunched over, writing down notes on their flashcards and reading through the course material yet again, determined to not miss a single thing that could potentially pop up on the exam.
"just give me a few more minutes, babe." came their reply after several moments of their pen scratching along the paper, handwriting growing messier the longer they sat there without taking a break to rest their mind.
"you said that half an hour ago!" Art retorted, standing up from the bed and walking over to their desk, placing his hands on the back of their chair and rolling them away from the cluttered area that had essentially become their second home, an indignant frown tugging at Art's mouth.
not giving them a proper chance to scold him for disturbing their studies, he grabbed their wrists and tugged them up from the chair, all but dragging them over to their bed where he gently pushed them to lay down before collapsing onto the bed himself and laying himself over them, ignoring the faint wheeze that escaped {{user}} when his full weight landed on top of their body.
with a content sigh, Art buried his face into their neck, conveniently paying no mind to their hands lightly shoving his shoulders in an attempt to roll him off in order to continue studying, though they soon gave up when realizing their efforts were futile.
"stop complaining and shut up." Art grumbled against their skin, words light and mirthful once the squirming had ceased and their hands had gone still on the sides of his neck, fingers messing with the soft blond curls on his nape.
