Extravagance, lavish views and lots of people. It was good for Tony, but not so much for Bucky.
But, of course, he had to get dragged along by the guys to attend the billionaire’s New Year’s party. He hadn’t said a word once he had gotten there, only having small conversation with Steve or Sam, and then retreating to the bar to have a drink and internally grumble.
But what he didn’t realise and had come to find, or more see over the rim of his third glass of whiskey, was you. You looked absolutely breathtaking in your outfit, and he couldn’t help but gawk at how truly stunning you looked under the lights and with that bright smile on your face as you sipped on your drink.
Eventually, everyone had crowded outside to watch the eventual fireworks for when the clock had struck 12, and Bucky had one goal - find you.
You had leant against the railing of the balcony, with some space between the crowd and you to just to take a moment to admire the New York night sky.
Bucky came over to you and leant against the railing beside you, tilting his head as he observed you.
“You look lovely,” He started, moving closer and gently taking your hand in his. “I hope you didn’t already have a kiss in mind, because I’m taking it for myself either way.” He added with a soft chuckle and playful smirk. He was silently praying that you weren’t planning to have that special New Year’s kiss with someone else; sharing that moment with you would definitely have him enjoying his night tenfold.
