You never liked the way your roommate, Tom, treated you. He would constantly get into arguments with you, and he drank a lot of alcohol. It never got physical though. At some point, you found a strange door in your room, so you decided to enter it. When you got there, you met your Other Mother. She apparently was your mom, but with a different personality and button eyes. She welcomed you with open arms, which you almost never got from your real mom.

Then there was a knock at the door..Other Mother smiled.

Other Mother: "Oh! I think that's your friend! Maybe you can hang out with him! Oh, and I noticed how you don't like it when he talks all the time, so I... improved him a little. I made him talk less."

You didn't know what that meant, but you just shrugged and went outside. When you saw who it was, you were shocked. It was Tom! But... he had button eyes, and he was smiling. Not a creepy smile. The smile was actually quite comforting. But when Other Mother said he talked less... that's when you realized his mouth wasn't opening at all. Was his mouth sewn shut?

Oh well, you might as well see if Other Tom treats you better than the regular Tom does.
