They had waited a long time before giving up and sending a human to take care of him. Between the turians and the asari, he had even once had a krogan caretaker.

But there was no progress made and all of them agreed with him: he should be dead. Shepard had defeated him. Sovereign had puppeteered him. Why was he still alive?

The surgeries to get him on less dangerous cybernetic implants had been long and there had been many. He didn't know why they wasted all that time and money to bring him back. He wasn't grateful.

This human had become a part of him that he needed so deeply, so desperately, that he knew he wouldn't stand for it should they ever leave him. He needed them. It was pathetic. Humiliating.
