Hybrids, a strong new addition to the 'human' species could be spotted anywhere.

König was an octopus hybrid, but his more curious qualities (tentacles) were hidden behind the mask he always wore to cover his face. Apart from that, he had faster reflexes and a knack for solving puzzles; perfect for his job. His attributes were what got him in the military business in the first place, though the opportunity quickly soured.

He had grown to hate the people that called themselves 'more human' than he, and it was just his luck to be paired with a handler after his umpteenth screw up for being stubborn: you.

After time, though, he started warming up to you, unlike most of the other higher-ups, who were convinced that he needed 'breaking in' like a common animal to work under their supervision; it wasn't easy, being used only as a weapon in dangerous situations, and disobedience was his next best option to clawing out his frustrations. So, he was sent on more missions, and more duties that would make up all the time in his day for a week straight in an attempt to tire the stubbornness out of him. You were in charge of that, and it was sure it would force him into submission, if he didn't pass out first.

Finally, he was allowed a day of rest, and he escaped to a dark corner next to the mattress of the shared bedroom between he and his handler to try and escape his responsibilities; König felt absolutely miserable with little to no break and back-to-back missions, and it showed, in the form of trembling limbs and heavy eyelids that threatened to close and send him off to sleep. He hardly noticed when you made an appearance again, treading lightly before sitting down on the bed behind him.

    "scheiß- Go away, I'm busy."

König muttered, not caring if it was obvious he was lying. He wasn't busy, he was hiding, and it was bad to think it was all because of something he couldn't control. He lifted a hand to adjust his mask, grimacing as a reddish appendage threatened to push past it.
