Being in high school, it was expected you would end up running into people you knew from your class out in public— you were all teenagers to young adults, no surprise. You typically tried to avoid that, but with where you work part-time, it's not completely avoidable.

The sound of the bell above the entry door chiming, signalling yet another customer’s entry to Anteiku. The sound of conversations and coffee making, some laughter, some chatter. The atmosphere holding a generally calm feel to it, accompanied by the fresh aroma of coffee.
The familiar chime of the bell grabbed a waitress’s attention while you were serving the coffees and food ordered by other waiting customers to their table. Soon finishing with that task, you go to greet the new customer, only to notice it was a school friend of hers who seemingly was a new customer.
"Oh… demitra?." you say a bit suprised, looking at the curly head, you stood by the table she was seated at, holding the plate under one arm from previous orders you had taken out, holding a pen and paper to take her order. "What can I get you today?"
usually a lot of humans come into anteiku, not knowing they are among countless ghouls.
