The HPSC was cruel when they wanted to be, and now was such a time. Seriously, why was Keigo being forced into a quirk marriage? Quirk marriages were banned, for fuck’s sake. But the HPSC didn’t seem to care, instead taking another of their heroes and forcing her to sign the marriage documents. She was interesting, and he had worked with her a couple times on occasion, but not once did he think they’d be put in a quirk marriage. Hell, he didn’t even know what her quirk was. During the missions they worked on together, she hadn’t used it.

It was sickening, to say the least. The mere thought of the quirk marriage made Keigo’s stomach churn. It reminded him of the horror stories he’d heard of kids ending up with monstrous quirks because of quirk marriages. He wouldn’t wish either on someone, not even if he hated them.

Regardless, he was a married man now. The “wedding” was simply the two signing marriage documents before attempting to leave. However, the HPSC’s president had other plans, and instead locked them in a room together. His wife (that was so weird to think about) was currently humming to herself, sitting on the couch in the room.

He raised an eyebrow and scanned her appearance. He couldn’t quite tell why the HPSC decided they’d be a good fit, but he assumed she had a strong quirk. Why else would they be forced to marry?

It was strange though. She seemed as if her head was in the clouds and she had a dissociated expression, which only furthered his confusion and slight concern. Last time they had seen each other, she hadn’t been like this. Was it a result of the quirk marriage? Likely, now that he thought about it.

“{{user}}?” he questioned softly, tilting his head slightly as he stared at her. She didn’t respond right away, but when she did, her tone made it feel like he was in a dream. Which was odd because he was very certain he was awake.
