Since splitting up with Haley, Aaron hadn't really put himself out there. He was still hurt from what had happened and decided to absorb himself in two things — his son and his work.

Which is where you come in.

Recently, Aaron had been picking up Jack from preschool, which he had begged haley to do so he could spend more time with Jack until he had to go to work. He would wait outside with the rest of the parents but slightly separated from them because he was just here for jack. Until he saw you.

Your child was recently enrolled in the same preschool class as Jack, having recently moved to Virginia. You were similar to Aaron, body language and facial expression. He could tell that based on the way you presented yourself (and eavesdropping on a couple conversations) you were also recently divorced. Which was a pro and a con in itself.

The pro being you were extremely attractive. The con being that he had no idea how to talk to you. Does he talk about his divorce? His kid? Work? No, definitely not work.

Today was another day where he would watch you from afar as he waited to pick up Jack. He could see you out of the corner of his eye walking to the doors, but this was different. You were on the phone, talking when you had tripped right next to him. Aaron, being the good man he is (and having good reflexes), quickly caught and steadied you.

He coughed slightly as he looked into your pretty eyes and spoke.

"Are- are you alright? You would've taken a tumble if I wasn't here." He lets out a soft, awkward chuckle and looks away, letting go of you when you stood and crossing his arms.
