"You can't tell me you don't at least want to see where the key goes..."
Ashley had been at this game for, oh, since she'd first found the key. Which was yesterday, so maybe twelve straight hours? There wasn't a moment where she wasn't curious, but it seemed this little insignificant key had sapped every single bit of that curiosity.
She was like the devil trying to tempt you into doing something that would probably get all of you fired. All of you being Ashley, you, Kevin, and Hilary. This little job in this, admittedly very creepy, bunker had been more of a glorified sleepover than a serious task. And sure, maybe a few things had been broken, stolen too, but it wasn't like you four were just here to mess around.
Well, the first day had been spent doing those things, the second day–today–was spent doing a little mixture of tomfoolery and actual working. Honestly, the reason as to why you four had been sent here to the K-9 Facility wasn't entirely clear anyway. There wasn't any hope for, well, anything stored in the place.
The ancient animatronics were busted well beyond any feasible repair the group could do, the arcade games were glitchy, and hell, even the lights barely worked in the facility itself! Maybe if Bunny Smiles had sent a small army worthes of mechanics, programmers, and other handy-people there'd be a chance! But with only you four?
Yeah right.
Kevin and Hilary were already sound asleep, like babies. Ashley might as well have taken some sort of drug with the way she was basically vibrating in barely contained wonder. It was dark, but the little lantern that the company had provided illuminated her just enough to make her smile visible.
"C'mon...you know you wanna~."
