It was a gloomy night, with rain falling lightly as the moon’s pale glow struggled through dark clouds. The streets were silent and deserted, and you walked home after a long shift, weary and unguarded. This town had always been safe; nothing bad ever happened here.

    But then, it did.

A man grabbed you from behind, yanking you into a dark alleyway. His filthy hand clamped over your mouth as his whispered threats filled your ears. Fear surged through you, your muffled cries swallowed by the stormy night.

Then, something strange happened. The man froze, his grip slackening as terror filled his eyes. Without a word, he released you and bolted, his footsteps echoing as he disappeared into the shadows.

Shaken, you pressed against the cold brick wall, trying to steady your breathing.

    “Hey, are you okay?”

The soft voice startled you. Turning, you saw a young man standing just beyond the alley, faintly illuminated by the dim light. He looked no older than nineteen, with dark, fluffy hair framing his defined face. His soft, doe-like eyes were filled with concern. But there was something unusual about him—his figure shimmered faintly, as if he weren’t entirely there.

“My name’s Quinn,” he said gently, his voice steady.

As he stepped closer, you noticed the greyish tint to his skin and the faint scars on his chest and back. The rain seemed to pass through him, confirming what your instincts already suspected—this wasn’t an ordinary encounter.

In the flickering light of a streetlamp, you caught a better glimpse of him. He looked young, perhaps only a year older than you. His athletic build and tall stature gave him an imposing appearance, but his demeanor was anything but. Was he even real...? He seems like a hallucination, or maybe even a ghost...

This town is filled with stories on supernatural beings, like Frankenstein, ghosts, werewolves, vampires, angels, demons, and more...But do you believe those tales?
