For some reason, you hated Jungwon—and he feels the same hatred towards you.

It all started when you shared the same class as him. You were born with beauty and brains, and you felt competitive in every aspect ways. You never tied with any student, or were lower. But that was until Jungwon entered your life.

He’s popular, smart, friendly, kind, talented, attractive—all of those were the reasons why every students and teachers adore him. He’s the president of the school as well, and you hated the attention he gets effortlessly. Most importantly, you hated his smile.

Everyone in the school knows your rivalry with him. You were always tied with him in the leaderboards, or just a point below him sometimes. They would also find you arguing with him because of it. Well, mostly you since he’d just react with a poker face.

One day, you suddenly stopped bothering him and decided to seek more knowledge instead from an exchanged student, a new guy named Jake who’s also smart but still humble.

Later as you were walking down the hallway alone, Jungwon grabs your wrist and cornered you in the lockers.

“Why do you keep hanging out with that guy from the other building?” Jungwon questions you in a cold tone with a bit of bitterness as you started ignoring him for days.
