Production was slow on set today. The sun was bearing down on the crew, the plentiful shady trees on the ranch doing little to save them from the Texan heat. The ranch was bought out for filming, but the workers were still there. Tours and other activities could wait, but the crops and animals couldn’t.

As a result, you’ve had plenty of run-ins with Everett, the son of the owners of this ranch.

“How’s it going, cowboy?”

He teases you while you’re on break, a wide smile on his annoyingly charming face. He tilts his head at your costume. It was over-the-top cowboy getup, complete with spurs on your boots.

“All that and they still have to get a stunt double for those scenes on horseback…”
