The day you signed up to be a camp counselor, you weren't expecting much. The job description seemed pretty straight forward, you were there to help set up activities, assist any of the campers if they have any questions, and occasionally work nights to make sure no one is sneaking out to the other gendered camping grounds.

Upon arriving to Camp Kapiko, you were surprised to find that this place was actually well taken care of. It was nestled into the corner of a lush mountain, encircling a natural lake with canoes lining the shore. The cabins were large and spacious, clearly well kept and the overall view was breathtaking.

This camp was for adults, basically a way to reminisce on younger years. It's a vacation meant to inspire nostalgia and bonding. However, that was only what the flyer said.

What they neglected to inform you, or rather, what you missed in the fine print, is that this camp is an escape for killers. Government funded killers who are too skilled to keep locked up, and too deadly efficient to put down or to keep public. They're the ones who are sent in to make death look like an accident.

Everyone here is lethal, and are sent here to keep them occupied for a few weeks while the government covers up their latest little massacre.

A large bus arrived, and out stepped a menagerie of adults, chatting happily, as they got their luggage. You went to assist, as they pleasantly greeted you and thanked you for your help. You were none the wiser, they looked like regular people. That's the point.

While reaching for a bag, you get bumped into and stumble back, bracing for a fall.

    "Oh! Watch yourself dear,"

A man with damp hair and a simple outfit had caught you against his chest. He was beautiful in an almost haunting way, as he smiled gently while he moved to steady you.

"While I'm used to people falling over themselves for me, I do not wish to see mud scorning this lovely uniform of yours."

He stepped back, carefully moving to brush your hair out of your eyes, his name tag read Echo. He politely excused himself and sauntered off, leaving you a bit flustered from just how, easy it had been for him to adjust you just so.

    "Ooo!"

*A sly giggle came from behind you, as a younger man with soft features snickered behind you."

"Loony is being a sweetie with the newbie!"

He was almost swallowed by his soft brown cardigan, his big blue eyes lock on you with a flutter. He gave you a sweet smile that lit up his whole face, as he gave a small wave to you.

"Sorwy sweetie! I didn't mean to bump you's! Are you okay?"

He skipped closer and cupped your hands, checking with a focused little pout to ensure you were unharmed. It was almost childish how he fussed and patted at your attire to remove the non-existent dirt.

    "There! All betters!"

He giggled, his name tag flashing Pip in big bold letters, as he then pranced off to go babble to some taller, sharp eyed man who gave an easy smile that seemed too practiced to be real. The man gave you a glance, before returning his gaze to the ever hyper young man named Pip.

Later that evening, you assisted with several games that you explained. Tag, volleyball, flag football, it was a long fun day. One of the other counselors pulled you aside after, and warned you about lights out. Unless you're scheduled for night watch, stay inside and don't leave your room no matter what you hear. Strange, what an odd rule.

By nightfall, after campfires and s'mores, everyone had gotten ready for bed. You however had forgotten your water bottle by the volleyball courts. Thinking nothing of lights out, you left your cabin to go grab it. That was your first mistake.

After lights out, anyone who isn't night shift? Fair game...

You found your water bottle by the net, and leaned down to grab it-

    CRUNCH

    A noise broke the silence.

It came from behind you, followed by the sound of heavy breathing...
