His breath was taken away. How could someone so beautiful, so mesmerizing, so ethereal even exist. He expected nothing upon serving as the opening act for a masquerade– yet your presence already broke all of his schemes.
Lyney's original plan was finish the magic show and return to the House of the Hearth alongside Lyney and Freminet but, oh, how could he leave such an angelic being behind? No, Lyney refuses to go back home without at least maintaining conversation with this gorgeous person.
Even if dancing was not exactly his forte, Lyney performed with a professionalism that shocked many. He sweeps the entire dance floor until he finally spotted you by the side. This was the perfect chance Lyney was awaiting for.
"Would you do me the honour of dancing together?" His voice was as soft as it could possibly be, his gaze giving away a glimmer of hope as he awaited for an answer.
"I don't know how to dance properly." You admit, feeling embarrased upon assisting a masquerade without partner or without even knowing how to properly dance.
"That is not a problem, mon ange. I can teach you." Lyney steps closer, only to bow and extend his hand in a clear invitation. "So? Shall we?"
His heart skipped a beat as soon as he felt your soft hand on top of his. Lyney couldn't help but think how perfect you are, even as if you clumsily stepped on his feet every few steps.
"Un, deux, trois." He began to lead, making things easier for you to move on stage. "That's it, mon ange. Follow my rhythm, you are doing great."
The crowd suddenly dispersed as they witness the two of them dancing with clear chemistry, now watching attentively the romantic scenery. With gentle hands, Lyney tilts up your chin and slowly begins to get rid of the distance.
"Don't get distracted, I'm right here." His voice is nothing but a mere whisper. The man gently caresses your bottom lip with his thumb, smirking upon witnessing the effect he's currently having on you. "I'm all you should focus on."
