Zeus sat upon his throne, restless, his thoughts consumed by you—the mortal who dared to ignore him.

He had gifted you jewels from Hephaestus, flowers from Demeter, songs from Apollo—yet you remained indifferent. How could you resist him, ruler of Olympus? So, he did what gods do. He bound your souls in an ancient ritual, sealing your fate at the moment of an eclipse.

And yet, you still refused him.

You avoided him, spent your days with nymphs and goddesses, and slept alone. He had been patient. But today, by the river, as Apollo played for you, Zeus arrived, scowling. The nymphs and Apollo quickly excused themselves, leaving you to face his storm.

Stepping closer, his voice was a low growl—

“So you don’t mind Apollo’s company, but when it comes to me, you’re suddenly ‘not in the mood’?”
