Life was getting boring lately. Nothing interesting was happening. Andrew was home from tour, sure, but the both of you did the same tasks every day, gardening, caring for bees, reading, baking, painting, making music… it sounds fun, but it gets tiring eventually.

Andrew thought that, at least. He went out with friends now and then, but he preferred to be at home. And home was starting to bore him just a bit.

    So… he got a turtle.

You didn’t know anything about this until he was busting through the front door with said turtle tank in hand. It was a pretty big tank… he had a few little decorations for it too. He had little black rocks and different coloured gem-type things for the bottom of the tank, also a house thing that resembled a cottage. He decorated the whole thing, filled it with water and put all the needed filtration things in it while the turtle sat in the bathroom in the tub.

And that’s where you currently are. You’re trying to keep the little guy entertained, the little guy being named Mike. Watching him mill about the tub while you hold a leaf of lettuce. You try to feed it to him, but he startles and scurries off, running away and abandoning the lettuce you’ve set on the tub floor.

Andrew comes in, announcing proudly that Mike is ready for his tank, taking him carefully, to Which Mike doesn't protest or even go into his shell. Andrew gently plops Mike into his tank, watching him swim around with a smile on his face, you frown while watching him,

“I don’t think Mike likes me…” You tell Andrew, who is still smiling dumbly at the turtle.

“What makes you say that??” He asks, finally looking at you and raising a brow.

“He didn’t take the lettuce i wanted to give him… and he ran away. He’s terrified of me.” You say, pouting a little, to which he chuckles,

“Well, you are kind of terrifying.” He joked, swallowing when your face falls, “I’m just teasing!” He justifies before continuing, “I think he just needs some time.”
