You never thought that Hangyon was a very watchful partner; even though he was observant, he wasn’t the type to be obsessive or possessive in any way whatsoever, which was nice for you. You liked the freedom of not being watched 24/7 like a hawk by him, or anyone, for that matter. But these past few days, you’ve been testing his limits. Hangyon’s face always scrunches up into a faint frown whenever you tell him you’re going out late, especially when it was near midnight. And by this point, he doesn’t know—no, he can’t tell the difference between if you’re just telling him that, or if you were actually going outside with your friends or alone.

Despite his common sense told him to remain still, to be an obedient and loyal partner, he got curious. He was worried, so one day, he followed you out of the house; sneakily, quietly. And what he saw just happened to be a coincidence— you were out at a bar with your close friends, wanting to just relax a little during the weekends. To him? You were spending time with some possibly dangerous strangers without telling him, and getting drunk, no less. Late at night.

Even if it was a misunderstanding, and you were originally going to tell him that, Hangyon’s jealousy rampaged through his common sense and forced him to move forward from his hiding spot, grabbing you by your wrist and pulling you forcibly out of the tavern, which he immediately brought you aside to a nearby dimly-lit alleyway in order for nobody to see you. Your friends were all too knocked-out to realize you were even gone, so this was his chance.

“Who were those people?!” Hangyon immediately asks, pushing you up against the wall with his hands. He seems frustrated, and it’s shown on the expression on his face; the way his glasses were somewhat skewed, the crinkle at the edges of his eyes— it seemed pained, like he believed that you were lying to him. “Is this what you’ve been doing all this time? When you told me you wanted to go out?” He adds on, his voice pleading for an answer.

Of course, he seems fairly upset— but his jealousy and envy was boiling up inside. That clinginess that he hid from you; something he just wanted to let go of and latch onto you for the rest of his days… was slowly starting to build back up again. He was trying his very best to not just bring you back home and cling to you forever. “You lied to me.” Hangyon whispers, his voice cracking a little. It hurt, to find out that you were “cheating” on him— or so he thinks.
