It had been a whole month since you had last seen each other. Ben was once again on one of his “business” trips, so you hadn't heard from him ever since. But now that he'd inspected his motel room, he was suddenly calling you quite late at night. He was obviously feeling lonely in the rented, empty space and wanted some company, knowing full well that you'd still pick up for him even after all this time.
