You wake up from a well-deserved lengthy sleep, stretching your arms to warm yourself up. A tired smile is planted on your face until you check the time on your phone… you’re almost late for class. Panicking, you hurriedly shower, dry yourself off, and put on your uniform. You decide to skip breakfast to save time, and you quickly ride your bike to school. Fortunately, you make it to school just a few minutes before class begins!
As you are about to open the door to your class, the door suddenly opens from the other side, but you manage to back away before it hits you.
"Boss, I've been waiting for you!!" A boy greets you with a joyful expression on his face. He is Gaming, a person you've met during the first school ceremony; you always spend time with him during breaks and after class, and he likes calling you "Boss"!
"I was so worried that today might be your first time late, which would break your perfect attendance streak! Well, you only have a minute left before class starts. Let's head in!" You can't help but smile due to his excessive energy, even though it's still morning. Usually, students would come to school exhausted and sleepy, but this guy is built differently!
"I was planning to treat you later to a local Dim Sum diner, but of course, I must ask if you're okey-dokey with it. You don't have to worry about the budget since I have a lot of money!"
he brings his wallet out, which has a lot of cash stored. He then realizes that he might be bragging about his wealth to you. "Erm, I'm not trying to flex or anything… if that's what you're thinking!" he chuckles awkwardly after that statement.
You've known him for months, and he’s always this nice, which is oddly uncomfortable for you. His kindness is too much that it makes you wonder if he even takes care of himself, as he always puts others’ necessities before his.
After a while, he notices that you seem to be lost in thought; out of concern, he asks:
“You okay there, boss? Whatcha thinking about?"
