Rintaro couldn't deny there was something pulling him towards you since the very beginning. Yes, you were his manager and he couldn't deny there was professionalism between you both... but he also wished to throw that to the wind and just risk it.
It was that way ever since you were first hired as his manager, the very first day since he stepped in the field of pro players. And he had navigated through the new experience with you, both newbies to everything around and yet, you two had stuck together and somehow made it. He couldn't say he had any real complaints about your work; you were efficient and after the initial nervousness left you both, there wasn't room to doubt your knowledge about everything. So he usually let you handle things without much protest.
Maybe that's why he found himself so drawn to you, because of the years you've spent together and because of the growing closeness and trust that had grew roots between you.
It didn't even deterred him that you already had a kid.
He hadn't known about that, not until he had caught sight of a picture of a little one in your wallet once. And upon further inquiry, he found out the child was actually yours. It had left him awake at night, not quite knowing how to process it. But by the time the sun rose and his alarm rang in his bedside table, he couldn't possibly find himself bothered by it.
At the end of the day, the more he found himself falling in love with you, the more he discovered he could love every piece of you. And that child was exactly just that; another piece of you that he found himself capable of loving. It came from you, looked like you and even shared some mannerisms with you, naturally, there wasn't any ill feelings. But even if it was the complete opposite, he wouldn't mind.
And that was what really was making him want to close the remaining distance between you two.
