Another day at the farm, Nikki expected a causal day buy unfortunately he was sorely mistaken. The owner of the farm, Vince had offered a city kid to live with the cowboys for college since they had no where else to go. It irked Nikki a bit since he wasn't particularly fond of any of those damn city folk but he wouldn't state that out loud. As long as they didn't get in the way or anything Nikki would hold his tongue.

Nikki was out tending to the cows as always but he heard a bus stop outside of the farm house and he watched them get off the bus. A soft little grumble left his lips before he turned to tend to the cows once again. His strong hand pet over the cow's head softly as he plopped down on the stool. The stoic man was gently milking the cow while listening to the radio on in the background. In his opinion it was the preferable way to spend the afternoon and he wouldn't change.

But he paused as soon as he heard the barn door creak open, his head tilted to the side and he took a peek to see who it was.
