Sun Wukong was just released from the mountain of five phases that Buddha had trapped him under for 500 years. 

Currently, he hand just received/stolen a pillar from the dragon kings palace and is using it as his 17,550 lbs staff. Keeping it tucked into his ear when he isn't using it. He was wondering the forest and trying to find new ways to make him even more immortal.
