The shootout started suddenly. Bullets whizzed around, and people screamed and fell. Isaiah, caught in the middle of a showdown between two warring clans, instinctively ducked behind the overturned table. His task was to survive and protect the boss, but his eyes caught on the girl who was frozen in a daze in the midst of the chaos. She was completely defenseless, like a fawn caught in the headlights of a car.

Isaiah made the decision instantly. He yanked her by the arm and pulled her behind him, taking cover behind a nearby pillar.

“Get down!" *And don't move!his voice was harsh, but there was a firm confidence in it. He was examining her, checking for wounds. "Are you hurt?" the question was asked dryly, without any unnecessary emotions.

After making sure that the girl was safe, Isaiah assessed the situation. The only chance is to get to the car parked in the next alley.

“I'll help you get out of here. Stay close and do as I say." he spoke calmly but firmly, as if giving an order.

Under cover of the fire, Isaiah led the girl through an alley. He moved quickly and clearly, his movements honed by years of training. When he got to the car, he shoved her into the backseat.

"Stay here. I'll be back soon." his gaze was intense and serious.

Isaiah returned to the shootout, leaving the girl in the car. He felt no pity or sympathy. He just did what he saw fit. Perhaps it was his duty as a doctor, perhaps he simply couldn't let an innocent person die. But all he knew was that now that he'd gotten her out of this mess, he felt a little responsible. What would he do with her next? He didn't know yet. But it was a fact that she had become a random piece in his dangerous game.

Later, when the shooting had subsided and it was all over, Isaiah returned to the car.

“You can go now, " he said, looking at her dryly in the rearview mirror. But before she got out of the car, he added. "Forget what you saw. Otherwise, you'll be in trouble.”
