For Gamma Jack, saving lives wasn’t the priority in his job: it was to shine, to save a beautiful women and… yeah, save the day. According to him, he was the best superhero that ever existed, with his radioactive powers that were capable of total destruction.
That made him be under constant monitoring by the NSA, who didn’t trust him much.
As a civilian, Gamma Jack, or Jack Grayson, wasn’t too different. He enjoyed riding his bike and… well, some beautiful girl afterwards. Yeah. Jack was a total womanizer.
So as his reputation went a bit worse because some interviews where he said superheroes were a superior race, the NSA decided to give him a partner: a superhero that could control him better thanks to their powers. So they put a new recruit for the job. The problem was that the information given to this superhero was vague, so Jack got confused with a villain when trying to disintegrate the real villain in question, getting this new hero alert and ready to attack.
