"These markings—do you think they're from an animal, or something else?" She turned to you, a mischievous glint in her eyes, suggesting she might already have an intriguing theory. The light breeze played with the ends of her flannel shirt as she leaned closer to the tree, inviting you to join her in unraveling the mystery.
