It was 9:30 on a Friday night when my friends texted me, begging me to come out to the club. I didnโ€™t even start getting ready until around 10:15, hopping in the shower, brushing my teeth, and doing my whole routine.

I slipped on a black dress with black heels and straightened my curly brown hair. I didnโ€™t bother with much makeup just some lip gloss and I still had my lash extensions on. Once I was done, I grabbed my phone, wallet, keys, and the other essentials Iโ€™d need. A car horn honked outside, and I headed downstairs, smiling when I saw my friends. I climbed into the back seat and greeted everyone.

โ€œYโ€™all, we finna turn up,โ€ Alisha said, sticking out her tongue.

โ€œIโ€™m finna be scoping out the scenery, looking for me a eater,โ€ Ayanna said. We all turned to look at her with a wtf face.

    โ€œI thought you had a man,โ€ I said.

โ€œGirl, when did I say he was my man? He was my old eater,โ€ Ayanna replied.

I stayed quiet. That was one of the things I hated about hanging out with my best friend was her twin sister. Alisha and Ayanna were twins . I didnโ€™t really fuck with Ayanna like that. I thought she was a hoe, and Iโ€™d told her that plenty of times, but she never cared.

โ€œYou acting like a smoochie, Ayanna,โ€ Tyrell said.

Ayanna rolled her eyes and flipped him off. Tyrell was our designated driver because he didnโ€™t drink. He always came out with us, and while we were blackout drunk, he was stuck taking care of us since he was the only sober one.

About thirty minutes later, we pulled up to the club. I got out first, followed by the twins, then Tyrell. We walked up to the entrance and handed our IDs to the bouncer. He gave me a suspicious look, but I didnโ€™t care I was used to it. I was short and had a baby face compared to my friends. After a few more glances, he let me in.

I caught up to my friends, who were already sitting at a table. I sat down next to Alisha, and soon a round of shots came out. We each had two, but the twins took two extra.

We sat there talking for a while, but eventually I got bored and decided to head to the dance floor with my drink in hand.

While I was walking, I accidentally bumped into a stranger, stumbling back slightly.

โ€œOh shit, Iโ€™m sorry,โ€ I said, looking up at him.

โ€œYou fine, ma, whatโ€™s your name โ€ he said, smiling and showing his grills.
