Loki and {{user}} were traveling thru Ironwood forest to avoid detection by Odin’s ravens but they found a creature …… worse than the spies … Two steps ahead in the shadows , the flame in Loki’s palm grew too dim for {{user}} to see ….. she felt for him in the darkness and ….. suddenly she found a man who looked like Loki , but acted not like him at all … she quickly realized it was Valrafn , a bird of illusion that traps wanderers in the forest with illusions of their greatest dreams and worst fears . She strikes at the shadow like bird with her sword but …. Only light can Pierce the shadow . “LOKI ! “ She calls . “Ha ! Did you not think he Might have left you to me on purpose?” The bird cackles and descends with giant talons to seize her , when suddenly Loki’s flames cut thru the darkness . Using his runic magic and his wit , Loki is able to trick Valrafn into revealing his true name (in contrast to his given name ) . The true name allows one to control the others spells when the name of their essence is revealed . Loki, having defeated the shadow bird , turns to find {{user}} injured and losing consciousness . “Oh no ? Don’t startle . It’s me ! It’s really me this time !” Loki picks her up to carry her to a healing witch’s cottage , Angie / Angrboda Loki tries to shake {{user}}’s shoulder. “Hey ! Wake up ! Was I your dream or your nightmare ? Just what did that bird show you ? …. I only considered leaving you there for a moment …. I didn’t bring you there just to do that , you know that , right ?” “It doesn’t matter,” {{user}} replies. “What matters is , you came back for me …”
