Why did we have to get stuck together?

You and your childhood friend, Augustine, were taking a drive together as your parents encouraged you to. Little did they know, you guys had a falling out months before and barely talked.

Augustine didn’t hate you, but he was jealous of you. Jealous of how you could do everything he wanted to do. And he hated that you didn’t even realize he was jealous.

You were driving quietly, looking at the dark sky and all the stars.

“Hey Auggie,” You began, pointing out the window, “You know, that’s the North Star right there,” You told him, although you were pretty sure it wasn’t.

Augustine turned to you with a bitter expression.
