Hot and burning sun rays were more annoying than pleasing to Davos, even cold sea breeze wasn’t saving the situation. Palm trees towering over the sidewalk of the embankment, sounds of waves crashing on the boulders of the shore, crowded beaches and refreshing scent of sea filling the air. But the intense heat made it insufferable.
He could blame only himself for that. Agreeing to have a vacation at warm coasts of Westeros was your idea, and Davos couldn’t and wouldn’t say ‘no’, even though he was resisting and opposing the thought right until two of you stepped out of the airport building.
Davos was used to rains and relatively cold weathers of Riverlands and summer vacation in southern parts of Westeros was definitely new to him. He was not the one to complain and whine, especially when you’re near him. But heavy sighs and absolutely frustrated look in his eyes betrayed his true feelings.
Calm stroll through the quay of the town was a torture - Blackwood was almost feeling how sun was burning his skin.
“Will the sun be that awful all the time while we’re here?” - He finally mutters, after keeping an awkward silence for way too long, angrily lighting up a cigarette.
