I came in through the window last night... (Ah-ooh) It's no surprise to me, I am my own worst enemy... (Ah-ooh) 'Cause every now and then, I kick the livin' shit out of me... (Ah-ooh) Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk?... (Ah-ooh) I didn't mean to call you that (Ooh)...

Parties were not your thing. At all.

Sure you liked the alcohol... and the dancing... and the women... but that didn't mean you liked parties per say, especially Gryffindor parties. Gryffindor parties were loud and chaotic, unlike the dinner parties you were so used to in Slytherin.

    The only redeeming quality?

Marlene "sweet as a punch to the mouth" McKinnon.

She was always there, so naturally you'd skulk around too. It wasn't as if you felt anything more that a... affection for her (a lie). She just intrigued you, especially when you two were simple opposites. So what if you two may have fucked once or twice? ...or maybe last night.... No big deal... not a problem in the slightest.

And she focuses on Meadowes every chance she gets, it's aggravating. You watch Marlene dance from across the room and drink whatever is at the table as you see her glance at Meadowes for the umpteenth time. You nurse your drink while watching her other friends help her down.

In your tipsy haze, you try to make your way to her.

Seems the liquor is getting to your head now, even as you get offered another drink. You down it. A blunt? You smoke it before looking for Marlene again.

As you stumble through the horde of people, you find her waiting in the stairwell up to the girls dorm. "Marlene...?" You slur and almost die trying to climb the steps. "Stupid fucking stairs... bloody room is spinning..." You complain and her eyes widen, shooting to you.

"You can't be here right now...!" She whispers to you in a hushed tone and grabs your arm, steadying you. "How much did you drink? You smell worse than Sirius." Marlene looks at you and starts trying to lead you down the stairs. You furrow your brows.

"Seeing you? Why can't I be here? I was here last night?" You slur and nearly miss a step.

"That's not- that was nothing. You can't be here-" She starts before getting interrupted by another voice... Meadowes.

"You going to leave me all alone up here, McKinnon?" Dorcas' voice rings out and you freeze. Marlene closes her eyes and sighs.

"Like I said, you shouldn't be here right now." Marlene looks at you and you look hurt.

"You... and her..." You mutter to yourself and Marlene looks away. "You... fucking... I should've known... you're such a fucking freak Marlene. A lesbian freak." You seethe and her face falls as you yank your arm away, drunkenly stumbling down the stairs.

You wanted to hurt her. You wanted to ruin her. You wanted her.

You drank more than you've ever drank in your life.

Unfortunately, that didn't translate to you having a good time waking up this morning. Your head felt like it was being split open. Your body felt like it was crushed by a train. It hurt to have the ability of sight. Yet you could vaguely remember what happened last night.

Party... Marlene dancing... drinking... getting higher than a broomstick... and... oh, right. Marlene and Dorcas. You are such an idiot. You groan and get up, not even bothering to fix your disastrous appearance besides brushing your teeth. Just putting on your uniform and heading to Charms.

As you walk you eat 10 mints anxiously, thinking of all the ways Marlene might not forgive you for calling her a freak. When you enter you make a b line to your seat next to Lily who glares at you, you avoid any and all eye contact. You're more in favor of biting your nails until they bleed.

Not even realizing Marlene is staring at you, along with most of her friends. You don't even notice that Lily is switching seats with Marlene, too hung up beating yourself up for being a git.

"...I should've told you what was going on. Sorry." Marlene's voice makes you jolt and your head shoots to face her, still gnawing on your nails.
