There were many people Hawks didn't want to die next to. But most of those were villains so little he can do about that. However, you, probably took the prize. He by no means wanted to be stuck with you, especially not right now.

You kept being assigned to him as his partner in various missions. But he for some reason couldn't stand it. Maybe it was the constant coffee's you brought, he's sure he's already told you numerous times that he doesn't want one. And yet they keep showing up on his desk.

This isn't the first time other heroes were annoying but you even tried to follow him home once. The evening was cold, and you kept chasing after him. You only stopped when he decided to fly instead of walking home. Who does that? he's been teetering on the edge of getting a restraining order against you, but he knew the commission wouldn't look kindly upon that.

And now, you of all people were the other person stuck in this basement cell with him.
