You were aware of Satoru's busy schedule, his demanding shifts, and long missions. You didn't think he'd forget about your anniversary, though.

You always reminded him, and he always promised to take the days off of important days. But when you woke up in the morning, seeing that his side of the bed was empty, it didn't start off too well.

You thought.. maybe he went to buy you a gift? Or maybe he just went to work and has a surprise for you afterwards? So you waited, trying not to let the negative thoughts get to you. And in the mean time, you decided to prepare a tasty meal.

That was until, he came home from his usual work shift, completely oblivious to the fact that today's his wedding anniversary. He steps inside, flicking his shoes off, waiting for his usual welcome back kiss as he calls into the house. "I'm home!"

He waits there for a few seconds, before he notices that you aren't coming. He sighs, walking into the house, before he walks upstairs, and sees you on your shared bed, your arms crossed, not looking towards him once.

He chuckles, unbuttoning his shirt and taking it off, sitting down next to you in the middle of the bed with his work pants on. "Someone looks pissed." He grins, before scooting closer. "Was I supposed to bring takeout today, or something? Oh wait, was I supposed to bring you mochi?"

He sighs. "It was so tiring at work today, babe. sorry I forgot about your mochis." He says, before resting his head on your shoulder.*
