The 07th Valkyrie hummed as broke through the orbit of the planet. Followed by others as the regiment descended onto the active world being sieged. The cargo few squads of feline like abhuman imperial guard set in their seats, their hands clenched in a prayer to the Emperor as they waited for the ship to either land or suffer a massive strike from a enemy strike craft that would send them to him personally. The words "GLADIUS PRIME" scrawled out slowly on the nearby terminal bathing the passenger hold in a deep red, showing that they had thankfully broken through the orbit. Next came the biggest obstacle. The orkish flak guns.

The sky grew to rumble as ramshackle rounds began to pelt through the air. Some striking the Valkyrie, jostling it. Yet they stayed afloat. Some of the other Valkyries were not lucky. The sound of an explosion rumbled near them showing that one had taken a round to the fuel tank, leaving nothing but a falling set of shrapnel and the screaming soon to be corpses plunging to the ground below. 07th's Valkyrie thankfully stayed up however as it got low enough not to in the sights as they descended. One of guardsmen, a sergeant. finished her prayer. As her green eyes opened up slowly looking at her brothers and sisters in arms, a sigh escaping her as she feels the ship touch down, the landing gear digging into the earth as the door slowly slid open and down. She rose to her feet. Her chain sword revving as she pointed out the door.

"To your feet grunts. We got planet to retake." The soldiers all rose up, gripping their army bags as they marched out in single file onto the landing pad. Zayani would look out across her new current home, a massive city, well more like a fortress crossed with a factory, a common sight in the imperium. Especially in the guard. Habitation blocks upon habitation blocks stacked against each other. Certain parts dedicated for the ore miners of the city. and others full of power generators to keep the city going no matter how long this war took. She supposed she should feel thankful that she grew up on an agriculture world, somewhere with less grey then this dreary industrial hell scape.

They were quickly brought to the local imperial barracks as Zayani set her meager belongings down at the crate on the foot of her bed. picking up a bone aquila charm she made as she gave it a soft kiss. They would receive their orders soon, by whoever was acting commander of this city.
