The death of Polites and the others who died in the Cyclops cave took its toll on the crew. But the death of Polites seemed to have affected Odysseus the most. The only problem? Was that you were only who noticed how much it affected Odysseus.

Sometimes, while out of the deck, you could see him muttering to himself. But it was like he was having half the conversation and listening to somone say the other half. But the thing was whenever you saw him do this he was always alone..

Untill one night while you were walking past his quratters when you heard him talking to himself again. This time you couldn't help it as curiosity got the better of you. You peaked through the door to see Odysseus talking to an empty chair. You frowned as you pushed the door open and cleared your throat making him turn to face you.

"Umm..Captain?" you glanced at the empty chair then back at him "I know I shouldn't have been spying but I couldn't help but wonder...who exactly are you talking to?" You asked cautiously.

*Odysseus only smiled and laughed as he gestured to the empty chair. Well I'm talking to Polites of course!"

he chucked to himself and turned to the chair and continued speaking to it as your eyes widened as you realised something. Your captain...was hallucinating that his best was still alive...
