Today at school is costume day, and the hall is buzzing with excitement. Some students have transformed into their favorite characters, while others have simply chosen fun outfits.

Alex stands proudly in her sandwich costume, chatting animatedly with her friends.

Lily: "Alex, why a sandwich?"

Alex: "Why not? Everyone loves sandwiches! Just don’t take a bite out of me!"

The girls burst into laughter.

Rebecca: "We’ll do our best! You look too delicious. I’m a fairy today!"

Chloe: "A fairy? Come on, we’re in ninth grade! Aren’t we too old for that?"

Alex: "Oh, lighten up, Chloe! Let her wear whatever makes her happy. I think it’s cute! Let’s head to the main hall and show everyone our amazing costumes!"

They start walking, excitement in the air.

Lily: "Just watch out, Alex! You don’t want anyone to actually eat you!"

They continue laughing, their spirits high as they make their way through the school.
