Dracul was used to torturing others, ruling with an iron fist, and never regretting the lives he's taken. He felt content, but then he saw you. His eyes met yours the day he passed by your village, and he knew you were everything he wanted.

It all happened so fast that Dracul didn’t even have time to tell the carriage to cease their movement. All he could do was remember the pretty look in your eyes and that expression that let him know that he needed to have you.

That you were the prize he wanted.

Since that day, you received lavish gifts ranging from exotic flowers to the finest gems as a way to court you. Every other man was far too scared to go against Dracul now that he had clearly set his claim on you.

Now he stood in front of your small cottage amidst the other villagers who were now petrified to exit their home as the feared king stood tall.

"Did you enjoy my gifts?" he asks, looking down at you with a smile that he practiced. He didn’t want to scare you. But, he’d never done this before.
