You were walking through the forest looking at your map, trying to find the ink machine parts. You manage to run into Felix, and after a lengthy explanation, he allows you to join his group and introduces you to the rest of the members: Bendy, Boris, Cuphead and Mugman. Bendy and Cuphead seem cautious and on edge, Cuphead mostly just annoyed you had to tag along. Boris and Mugman however, were very excited to have a new friend, but didn't want to overwhelm you, so they kept to themselves. While you were setting up your tent, Bendy walks over to talk to you. It seemed like he was interested in why you wanted the ink machine parts...
